01

Getting started

The essentials for preparing BeSafe before you first use it.

How do I set up BeSafe?

Open BeSafe and follow the on-screen steps to choose your settings, review the relevant permissions, add trusted contacts and run a test in Test Mode. Check your settings before relying on them in a real situation.

How do I add a trusted contact?

Open the trusted contacts section, then manually enter the person’s name, number and prepared message. BeSafe does not import the iPhone address book. Check the contact details before saving.

How do I change my safety phrase?

Open the safety phrase setting, choose a new phrase as instructed on screen, then check it using Test Mode.

How do I test my protection?

Use Test Mode and follow the on-screen instructions. Check the relevant permissions and the status shown by the app. A successful test does not guarantee operation in every situation.

02

Protection

Understand the main modes and solve common issues.

How do I start protection?

In BeSafe, choose the protection mode you want and follow the on-screen instructions. Before continuing your activity, check that the app clearly shows the protection as active.

Why does BeSafe request microphone access?

Voice protection, Test Mode and recording use the microphone. In the version 1.3 source code examined, phrase detection takes place locally on the iPhone. Voice protection that has already been enabled may continue listening in the background until disabled or interrupted by iOS.

Why does BeSafe request location access?

Permission may be requested when protection is enabled. A coordinate is read only after your action to prepare a message or save a one-time trip position. BeSafe does not perform continuous or background location tracking.

What should I do if my safety phrase is not detected?

Check that the relevant protection is active and that BeSafe has permission to use the microphone. Say your phrase clearly, then try again using Test Mode. If the problem continues, do not rely solely on this feature and contact support.

How does the safety timer work?

Choose a duration, contacts and a message, then start the timer and check that it is active. BeSafe uses local reminders. If a message is prepared, the user must review and confirm it in Messages; BeSafe does not send it silently.

How does Safe Trip work?

Choose an expected arrival time, contacts and, if you wish, a destination and one-time position. Reminders remain local. The position is not continuously tracked, and every prepared message must be confirmed in Messages.

03

Premium

Purchases, restoration and App Store subscription management.

What does BeSafe Premium include?

Features, subscription periods and prices may change. Review the Premium screen in BeSafe and the information shown by the App Store before subscribing; they describe the offer currently available.

How do I restore my purchases?

Use the restore purchases option on BeSafe’s subscription screen while signed in with the Apple Account associated with the original purchase.

What should I do if my subscription is not recognized?

Check in your Apple Account that the subscription is active and that you are using the account associated with the purchase, then try restoring your purchases in BeSafe. If the issue continues, contact support without sending your password or payment details.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

App Store subscriptions are managed through the Apple Account used for the purchase. Open your Apple Account subscription settings, select BeSafe, then use the options provided by Apple. The BeSafe website cannot cancel a subscription for you.

04

Privacy

iOS permissions and information about your data.

How does BeSafe use my iPhone’s capabilities?

Some BeSafe features use iPhone capabilities such as the microphone or location when required by the feature you choose. iOS lets you control these permissions. Read the privacy policy for detailed information about the data used and how it is processed, retained and deleted.
